#85 See a musical on stage at least once a year - Chicago

How is it possible that it is now November, and I still need to make posts from events in June???

Anyway, the mammoth weekend when Sarah came to Sydney continues (plus one last post after this). Check out some of our other adventures here, here, here & here.

On the Sunday, we went into the city to see Chicago at the Lyric Theatre. I’d been wanting to see it since I was in New York in ’07, and my cousin saw Chicago, while I went to Les Mis.

It definitely lived up to my expectations of sexiness, sassiness and all that jazz!

It was quite bizarre seeing Gina Riley of Kath & Kim fame playing ‘Mama’. I had no idea she could sing…and boy could she let out a tune! It’s a shame she’s not doing the Melbourne or Perth legs.

I love it when Aussie casts can do big Broadway shows the justice they deserve.
